Meet the Staff
Heather Akita-Meyers
I am a part-time dental hygienist for our practice on Wednesdays and Fridays. I’ve worked in the dental field for more than 10 years and graduated from the University of Hawaii. I love that our patients are very appreciative and work hard to maintain their dental health. I am married with one beautiful baby boy. In my free time I enjoy water sports and being outdoors.
Naomi Rhodes
I work as a part-time dental hygienist on Thursdays. I have been with our office for more than six years. I was born and raised in Japan and moved to Hawaii in 1994. I graduated from the University of Hawaii with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene and am a member of the Sigma Phi Alpha National Dental Hygiene Honor Society. I have been laser certified since 2006 and have been awarded a certificate of completion from the Aligntech Institute for Invisalign®.
Rachelle Nii
I assist Dr. West and Dr. Rosala with all patient procedures. Helping people make a healthy difference in their lives is one of the most rewarding experiences. I love working with each patient and educating them on maintaining their oral health.Outside the office I love to spend time with my two children.
Cheryle Minatoya
I am our schedule coordinator, so I update insurance, check patients in and out, and am our source person for scheduling. It’s such a joy to be a part of this incredible team. I love being able to work with so many wonderful, unique patients every day. Having the opportunity to see how a new smile can boost a person’s confidence and change their life in a positive way is just one of the reasons that I truly enjoy what I do.
Sabrina Irish
As our senior administrator, I manage the front office, receive payments, and coordinate treatment. Working in dentistry is such a wonderful experience. I love working with our patients and seeing how much each person’s oral health improves over the years. Outside the office, I like to spend time with my daughter, son, and three grandchildren.
Nora Meyer
I work as a dental hygienist on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. I graduated from UH Manoa and am laser certified. I truly enjoy what I do, and I love working with all of the wonderful patients who come to us for dental care!I love the challenges that I face each day, and the successful outcomes achieved by both our staff and our patients.
Becky Fischer
As our clinical director, I take care of back office management and processes. I also work with Sabrina to ensure that our back office and front office have an open dialog and communication. I assist Dr. Schwinn with patient care and work with the lab regarding photos and custom work. Most of the time, I’m behind the scenes making things run smoothly! My husband, JW, and I have an English bulldog named Bubba. When I’m not in the office I enjoy spending time at home reading.
